EMDR Therapy

Healing From Within

What is EMDR?

EMDR is an extensively researched and effective psychotherapy proven to help people recover from the result of trauma or distressing life experiences. Rather than talking, EMDR uses eye movements and other forms of stimulation to activate the brain’s ability to resolve these concerns. Instead of directly addressing emotions, thoughts, and responses resulting from the traumatic experiences, EMDR focuses directly on memory. This type of therapy is intended to change the way that memory is stored in the brain. This will reduce and eliminate the problematic symptoms.

What is Somatic EMDR?

Somatic EMDR is an integrative approach that combines the power of EMDR therapy with the wisdom of Somatic experiencing. Somatic therapy focuses on the connection between the mind and body, recognizing that emotional issues and trauma are often stored in the body. By incorporating Somatic techniques into EMDR therapy, we address both the psychological and physiological aspects of healing, allowing for a more holistic and profound transformation.

How You’ll Benefit:

Imagine feeling a sense of relief wash over you as you release pent-up tension and trauma from your body. Picture yourself regaining control over your emotions, thoughts, and behaviors, empowered to navigate life’s challenges with resilience and strength.
